Where stories help us find our place, and our power.

The Folded Leaf Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering free reading, writing, publishing, and mentoring programs for K–12 students across five counties, and a community third space where people of all ages can read, learn, create, rest, and connect, with no pressure to purchase or perform.

Mission
"To cultivate community resilience, creativity, literacy, and belonging through shared knowledge, hands-on learning, and accessible community spaces.”

Little Leaves Reading Club
A free after-school reading club for kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade, starting January 2027.

Youth Storytelling Pathway
A free path for teens to grow as readers and writers, from mentorship with adults (The Next Chapter Mentor Network), to mentoring younger readers (The Literacy Promise Project), to developing and publishing their own work (The Open Book Project).

Our Goal
500 young people enrolled, 100 in each of our five counties, by Summer 2027.
